Bon-Ton has been in York ever since I can remember. When I was a little girl my mother and I would take my grandma to the downtown location(no longer there). My grandmother didn't drive so this was a weekly habit. We would ride up the elevator, the kind with an attendant and a accordion metal door he pulled for us to exit. I was thrilled we would exit into the hat department. They had beautiful inventory then, and the quality of much of their clothing is still a cut above many of the stores in the general area. The store is clean and easy to get around in. They have sales and the fliers should arrive in your mail.

This is a really pleasant store with very friendly staff. We have found some really great deals, but you have to watch the papers to find out when things go on sale. They maintain a very upscale inventory, catering to those with more distinguished tastes so expect higher prices on their goods. But, you can be sure you are purchasing quality items in return.

Bon Ton has a wide selection of clothing and shoes. They also have an array of perfumes and cologne. Bon Ton's workers are not always the friendliest. The store is not always clean. Their prices are usually not very reasonable, and their advertising is not always clear. Overall their return policy is fair. The parking is fine.
